Our Team
We have a highly professional team specialising in sports trauma, biomechanical analysis, manipulation, soft tissue injuries, back and neck
pain, and spinal manipulation. We treat the New Zealand and US Ski & Snowboard teams, and have been providing expert health care in Queenstown for over 35 years.

Our team carries a wealth of experience and we pride ourselves on providing an outstanding level of service to our clients.

Allan Garard (Owner)
A past NZ Hang glide Champion, Allan has a special interest in Spinal Manipulation, Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction and TMJ problems. After graduating from Otago University in 1978 Allan spent 10 years working in Canada before moving to Queenstown in 1991. He is an avid hard-boot snowboarder.




Deborah Nelson (Owner)
Graduated from Otago University in 1994 and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She joined the Queenstown Physiotherapy team in 2005 lured by the mountain life. She has special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation and lower limb biomechanics.




Mel Smith (Owner)
Mel graduated from Otago University in 1998. She has a special interest in sports injuries and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine. Mel is a multisporter and Coast to Coast competitor.





Andy Ralph
Andrew has been Team Physiotherapist for the New Zealand Swimming Team and the New Zealand World Student Games Team. He graduated from ATI in 1983 and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Kinesiology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy. He is a credentialed Mackenzie Institute Therapist and enjoys swimming, surfing, sailing and mountain biking.




Selena Doolan
Graduated from Otago University in 1991. She has a post graduate diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy specializing in orthopedic and spinal injuries. She has an ongoing interest in sports injuries and return to work rehabilitation programmes.




Pip Lane
Graduated from AUT in 1983 and has 22 years experience in private practice at the Queenstown Physiotherapy. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy. Her special interests are in Biomechanics, Muscle Balance and Core Stability. Sports interests include Climbing, hiking and snowboarding.




Corina Ngatuere
Corina graduated from AUT in 2003. She has a passion for sports physiotherapy and she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine. She and is a competitive netball player and umpire.
