The role of rehabilitation is becoming increasingly important in cancer care to help people stay physically and emotionally strong during and after treatment. There is a vast and growing amount of evidence illustrating that exercise rehabilitation is one of the best “medicines” people can take in addition to their standard cancer treatments. Research is showing the exercise can help to reduce the recurrence of cancer. PINC & STEEL cancer rehab is suitable for any type of cancer and any stage from diagnosis, during and after chemo or surgery to many years after treatment has been completed. It is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and mobility. Our physio Anna has completed her PINC & STEEL training and is passionate about providing this clientele with the tools to allow them to take control of their own recovery. The vestibular system includes the organs in the inner ear and the areas of the brain that process information regarding vision and motion, and is crucial for maintaining balance and for the stability of gaze. People with vestibular disorders can experience a whole range of symptoms including vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbance, feelings of being off-balance, and strange disturbing sensations in their heads with head movements. Vestibular rehabilitation depends on the presenting symptoms and thorough examination. It focuses on improving those symptoms through a range of exercises for their balance, vision, and strength. There is a high level of evidence available demonstrating vestibular rehabilitation for treating dizziness to be safe, effective and relatively inexpensive. It is an excellent tool in enabling patients to fulfill their potential, increasing their physical activity levels and achieving their goals. If you experience vertigo, dizziness or imbalance vestibular physiotherapy can help you. Call and make an appointment with Beni.
